About Attorney Prokopow

Heather was working as a teacher on the Navajo Reservation when she discovered her passion for law. Heather moved to Ohio for law school where she worked full time as a third-grade teacher, then as a legal assistant for a bankruptcy firm, while attending law school at night. In addition to juggling work and school, Heather won first place in the 2021 Sovereignty Symposium Doolin’ Writing Competition for her paper on Navajo Nation Family Law.

In her spare time, Heather serves as a Board Member for The Good Shepherd Animal Sanctuary (a local non-profit dedicated to caring for animals) and is the Coach for the Rossford High School Color Guard – a program she started in the fall of 2022. Heather also participates as a Judge in the high school spring Moot Court Competitions for the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education.

Heather obtained her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University prior to moving to Ohio to where she obtained Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law. Her background in education and law creates the perfect balance for helping clients navigate the judicial system to find the fit that is right for them.
